As much as I get immersed in my current read, I’m always thinking about what books I’m planning on reading next.
That way I’m not in a situation without any books to read. Plus, I’m always adding new books to my TBR.
Even though I can’t wait to read all of them, there are a few that I am really anticipating reading at the moment.
Most of these are either new releases by my favorite authors or books that have lots of hype. Some of them are sequels to books that I loved.
I have not read them yet but I still recommend you check them out. I will also most definitely be reviewing all of these books once I read them so you can hear my thoughts and see if they lived up to my expectations.
Here are just 8 of the books that I am most anticipating reading.
1. Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas
Throne of Glass is next on my TBR and I am very excited to finally be reading it. I have been waiting to read this series for a couple of years now and I am so glad to finally be reading it.
Sarah J. Maas is a well-known and respectable author so I’m hoping that it is a good series. I know a lot of people who love her books so I can’t wait to find out if I will too.
2. Sword Catcher by Cassandra Clare
Sword Catcher is Cassandra Clare’s newest release. As soon as I found out about this book I knew I had to get it so I am super excited that it is finally out.
I love all of Cassandra Clare’s other books so I’m hopeful that I will love this book as much as her others. I also love the cover of this book. It is stunning.
3. Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros
Fourth Wing currently has lots of hype around it. Everyone loved it so much that they had shortages of it in bookstores. Of course I had to get it. I am very excited to see what all the hype is about once I finally do read it.
4. The Sun And The Star by Rick Riordan and Mark Oshiro
The Sun And The Star was an auto-buy for me. I love all other books by Rick Riordan So I knew I had to read this book as well. It is also set in the same world as the Percy Jackson series and it has familiar characters.
I’m super excited to hear more about these characters that I already love. I have no idea what adventures this book entails but I already know I am going to love it.
5. Wayward Son by Rainbow Rowell
Wayward Son is the second book in the Simon Snow trilogy. I binged Carry On, which is the first book in the series, and I loved it so much. I cannot wait to pick up the next book and be reimbursed in the world and the characters. I highly recommend this series.
6. Babel by R.F. Kuang
When Babel came out there was a lot of hype for it. That was how I heard about it in the first place. I saw a lot of people all over social media who were loving it and I knew I had to give it a try.
It’s been sitting on my shelf now for at least a year and the anticipation of reading it is growing the longer it sits there so I will definitely be reading it soon. I need to know what happens in this book.
7. Stealing Embers By Julie Hall
Stealing Embers was a book I just happened to randomly stumble upon and it immediately intrigued me. It is about Nephilim who are part Angel warriors meant to fight demons. It about sold me on the secret training academy though.
After reading the Shadowhunter books by Cassandra Clare it’s hard not to get excited to read about anything similar and so I am very much anticipating reading this series.
8. Crush by Tracy Wolff
Crush is the second book in a series about vampires, dragons, wolves, witches, and of course an academy. I have just finished reading the first book, Crave, and I really loved it so I am so excited to continue with the series. Especially after the cliffhanger that the first book left off on.
Those are the 8 different books that I am currently anticipating reading the most. I hope you consider checking all of these books out if you have not read them yet. If you have, be sure to let me know your thoughts.
